East Africa's bird life is
rich and diverse due to the migration of birds from Europe every winter.
The 2 best parks to see birds are Lake Manyara
and Tarangire. Each has several hundred
species of birds in a variety of habitats.
Birds of prey like vultures,
secretary birds, hawks, and eagles can be best seen in the large savannahs
of the Serengeti. Ostrich are also best
seen in this park.
Water birds such as flamingos,
pelicans, black-headed heron, marabou stork, great white egret, African
spoonbill, and many other birds can be found at Lake Manyara.
But be sure to bring a big
lens, these birds won't let you get too close to take pictures.
