Giving back to the community

At Kilimanjaro Adventures, we believe strongly in giving back to the communities we operate in.  All of our guides are from Tanzania and have been locally trained and certified by the National Park Service.   This ensures the money you spend goes back into growing the local communities to create more jobs and opportunities.

Join the One Campaign to help Tanzania

We have decided to expand our efforts to improve the local community by joining the One Campaign. The goal of the campaign is to use your one voice and one vote to end extreme poverty in Africa. Here's how your voice can help:

  1. Talk to your elected officials about your support allocating an additional 1% of the US budget toward providing basic needs like health, education, clean water and food which can transform the futures and hopes of an entire generation.
  2. Talk to your church about organizing a mission trip or support visit to Moshi. kA will help you organize visits to local hospitals and children's centers.
  3. Talk to you community about your time in Tanzania. kA and our local outfitter provide income to over 1,000 local people. The growing industry also ensures that natural resources are protected for long term use.

If you'd like to give a talk about Tanzania or Kilimanjaro please contact us. We'd be happy to provide you a CD with pictures and slides, as well as 20 One Campaign wristbands to hand out.
