We work directly with Zara
Tanzania Adventures (Zara), the largest outfitter offering climbs up
Mt. Kilimanjaro. You may have heard of Zara before or think that you've
seen their web site. Actually, many of those web sites are by other
authorized agents just like us.
Zara have been leading climbs
since 1990. In 2006, they safely led over 7,000 climbers up and down
the mountain. They are a licensed IATA agency with more than 40 mountain
guides and more than 100 porters working for them. All of their safari
drivers and mountain guides are certified by the National Parks and
have been trained in their respective careers. The safari vehicles include
4x4 Toyota Land Rovers, Land Cruisers and Minibuses with viewing roofs.

We are a woman owned small
business.
Giving back to the community
At Kilimanjaro Adventures, we believe
strongly in giving back to the communities we operate in.
All our guides are from Tanzania and have been locally trained
and certified by the National Park Service.
This ensures the money you spend goes back into growing
the local communities to create more jobs and opportunities. We
also sponsor a used gear donation program.
Mountain and camping equipment is not readily available in Tanzania
and many of the porters and guides do not have the proper equipment.
When you donate your used gear, it will be given to the local guides
and porters to use while they are on the mountain. We believe in giving
a hand to those who need it, but not a hand out.
Protecting the Environment
We believe in protecting and preserving
the unspoiled beauty of Tanzania. Tourism can be done responsibly, stimulating
the economy and improving the lifestyles of the Tanzanians, while conserving
the natural resources. It will take all of our efforts to ensure that
the very thing that attracts tourists - the raw beauty of Kilimanjaro
and the glorious wildlife - can be enjoyed for many years to come.
