outside Moshi and is a great place to meet with other climbers.

Springlands Hotel
The Springlands Hotel, about
1 1/2 miles from the center of Moshi, will be your way-station to relax,
prepare and recover for your trek and safari. To ensure your safety and
comfort, this is a private hotel and only climbers stay here.
Each room is either a double
or triple with comfortable beds, full linens, mosquito netting, and all
have access to bathrooms and hot showers (most directly connected to the
rooms) There are a number of helpful folks working here who can also help
you with any questions or problems you might have including gear, travel
arrangements, and even climbing advice (almost all of them have done at
least one climb).

Dining
All meals are buffets, served
in our large dining room with long tables. This is a great chance to
meet other climbers and get ideas about various routes and parks. Breakfast,
lunch, and dinner are served with local and international dishes, as
well as vegetarian choices. . Lunches are about $7 and dinner $9. You
can also go into town and try some of the local restaurants They can
recommend places at the front desk. We will also send you some suggestions
with your welcome packet. The bar is open in the afternoon and serves
beer, wine and soft drinks.
Activities:
There is a local jungle walk
just outside the hotel. Ask at the front desk and a guide will take
you through the rice fields into the nearby rain forest where you can
see different varieties of monkeys and birds as well as papaya trees.
The walk is free but we recommend you tip your guide.
You may also want to take
a trip into town and shop for supplies and souvenirs. You can catch
one of the busses going into the town office in the morning, ride a
bike, or ask at the front desk for a shuttle. In town you can easily
find a taxi to take you back to the hotel.
Pricing:
Two nights stay are included
with your Kilimanjaro climb (not with safari). Breakfast is included
with each night. However, there is a charge for drinks (beer, wine,
soft drinks) as well as lunch and dinner. Pricing for additional nights
is:
