East African Outdoor Adventures

East African Outdoor Adventures is a small company based in Arusha, Tanzania.  The company was started by guide Kapanya Kitaba and American Terry Richter. They were recommended to us by a former client who had nothing but great things to say about them.  As a smaller company, East African Outdoor Adventures is focused on offering the best service and support while keeping prices low.

We just finished an 8 day Kili climb and 5 day safari with Kapanya and his crew. This was an experience of a lifetime. Kapanya is knowledgeable, kind, organized, and so warm and welcoming. He took us to his village, his daughter’s school, the school where he teaches ornithology, and to his home for dinner. Kapanya has climbed Kili 159 times, and his experience shines. We felt safe in his hands and really had a great trip on the mountain and in the Serengeti. I would highly recommend Kapanya as a guide. One of my favorite things about him is his wonderful sense of humor. He not only took good care of us, he had us belly laughing for two weeks! He’s so witty, intelligent, and he’s also a powerful leader in his community. I was really impressed by his desire to help all of his neighbors and employees improve their lives through education and employment. Kapanya is more than a guide. He is an inspiration.

I had the opportunity to meet Kapanya Kitaba last summer, the head guide for East Africa Outdoor Adventures, Before this, I never had a desire to climb Kilimanjaro, but now I do because of him. So I would like to recommend his company.
